Services at St Katharine's
Junior Church |
The Sunday service is at 9.30 a.m. This is invariably a service of Holy Communion; on the first Sunday of each month it is a service of All Age Worship. We usually meet together in the Church Room (see below) after the service for coffee and a chat. On the third Sunday of each month a service of Holy Communion (1662) is held at 8.00 a.m. in addition to the 9.30 service. St Katharine's has a lively Junior Church, catering for ages from 3 to 11. It meets in the Church Room (see below) at 9.30 each Sunday morning during term-time, except for the first Sunday in each month when the children join the congregation in church for the All Age service. |

| St Katharine's Church Room | Our church hall, known as the Church Room, is about 200 yards from the church up Church Hill, on the left-hand side. It is used by the church for meetings and for coffee after morning service. It can also be hired for social events, meetings, and occasionally parties, although we will not allow its use for teenage parties or any activity likely to be a nuisance to neighbouring houses. The hire rate is generally between £7 and £10 per hour. A leaflet giving more details of the hall, including the size and what facilites are available, can be downloaded here (you will need to have Adobe Acrobat installed). | |||
